Blow hard

Shanti reports…

We were driving to Mt Thomas for a walk when Liz happened to mention that the start of the Blow Hard track was to the left. There was a “Should we?” then a “Why not?” followed by a U-turn.

Suddenly we were headed for a walk on Mt Richardson instead. No worries - it’s closer, less time waiting in the car before we walk!

Mt Richardson is pretty steep, so it’s safe to presume the Blow Hard track is too. Get it? Blow hard, puff, pant… phew. Mum didn’t take many photos. But I’ve got two to show you.

This shows the some of the view.

We walked along the Blow Hard track to its junction with the By Pass track, and then turned back. On our last trip up Mt Richardson we used the By Pass track for our descent.

We stopped right next to this tree for a coffee and soup breaks for humans. Treats and water for dogs. We didn’t stay long as the forecast nor’west was blowing up a gale. One more interpretation for the tracks name - it wind was blowing harder than Mum when she came up the trail.

P.S. Mum says happy birthday, Dad. We miss you.
