Cooper's Knob with the team

Shanti reports…

Mum and I scouted the route a few weeks back and it is fairly short - especially considering the long drive from Oxford. So the plan was to walk up to Cooper’s Knob as a team. Mum and I would go back to the car and drive back along Summit Road and pick a point on the Crater Rim Track and walk back towards Cooper’s Knob, while the rest of the team walked along the track in the direction we were driving. When we met up we’d head back to the car.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. This time we parked just the other side of the cattle grid and it wasn’t long before we were on the summit.

Here is our team summit photo.

This is me on the Crater Rim Track after we’d done the car shuffle. I’m wearing a fancy cooling jacket. Mum has to wet it and the evaporation of the water and light colour are supposed to keep me cool(er). I’m not sure I like it.

Well, that was easy enough. Another challenge ticked off with enough time for our humans to enjoy a Hot Chocolate at She Chocolate in Govenor’s Bay. They did rather rave about that!
